Storm Debut Atop IFL Coaches Poll

Richmond VA- The Sioux Falls Storm open up the 2012 season ranked first in the IFL Coaches Poll.

After two games the undefeated Storm team has looked even stronger than last year's United Bowl Championship-winning team. QB Chris Dixon is off to a record-smashing pace as he has thrown for 12 touchdowns and has run for four more while helping the Storm to 2-0 start. As Week 3 Vidswap.com Offensive Player of the Week, Dixon completed 31 of 35 passes for 403 yards and seven touchdowns in route to a 81-54 win over Wichita. The Storm have outscored opponents 154-97 in just two games.

The Tri-Cities Fever debut in the Coaches Poll in second place after they are off to an early 3-0 start. The 2011 Intense Conference Champion Fever are off to a hot start led by QB Houston Lillard. Lillard has exploded out of the gates this season as he is second in the league in touchdown passes (16) and tied for first in rushing touchdowns with six. In week 3 the Fever knocked off the Colorado Ice 64-50.

The Allen Wranglers come in at third in this week's poll. Allen is off to the team's first 3-0 start in franchise history after heading west and defeating the New Mexico Stars 45-28. In week 4 the Wranglers will head to Colorado to take on this week's number eight ranked team, the Ice.

Rounding out this week top five include the Green Bay Blizzard and Bloomington Edge. The Edge have won three in a row after dropping their first game. The Edge,led by QB Dusty Burk, beat the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks 57-39 in week 3.

The Stars, Danger and Ice come in a sixth, seventh and eight respectively. The Ice despite losing two games have remained competitive with against the sixth ranked New Mexico and second ranked Tri-Cities Fever. The Ice will face another tough opponent in the third ranked Allen Wranglers in week 4.

The Omaha Beef and Chicago Slaughter complete the top ten.
