Omaha Storm Chasers News Release

OMAHA, Neb. - The Omaha Storm Chasers and Ovations Food Services are making it easier for anyone interested in a part-time, game day position with the team for the upcoming 2013 season. The team will not hold their traditional job fair, but instead are adopting an open registration process where applications will be accepted throughout the offseason and the season for the nearly 225 open positions.

In previous years a majority of the game day staff had been hired during the one-day job fair event. This season applications will be accepted either by email at jobs@omahastormchasers.com or in person at Werner Park located at 12356 Ballpark Way, Papillion, NE. Applications can be found online at www.omahastormchasers.com under the "Roster" tab in the category "Game Day Employment."

"The Storm Chasers hope this change to the hiring procedure will reach out to a wider demographic of applicants," said Ben Kratz, Director of Special Events for the Storm Chasers. "It expands on the number of people who can apply to positions with the open registration process and does not limit it to those who attend the job fair. We want to give everyone in the Omaha Metro a shot at these fun part-time jobs."

Once applications are received, various hiring directors/managers at the Storm Chasers will contact candidates for interviews. Interested members of the community age 16 or older are encouraged to submit applications as early as possible, as positions will be filled when qualified candidates emerge.

Jobs available:

* Ticket sellers/Ticket takers

* Ushers/Parking attendants

* Video board/Closed Circuit Television

* Amusement area supervisors

* Bat boy/girl

The Chasers are looking for students in search of college credit for the popular internship program. The "Fun Bunch" will get a first-hand glimpse into the world of Minor League Baseball. Those interested in being a part of the "FUN" at Werner Park can apply under the "Roster" tab in the category "Internships."

The 2013 home opener at Werner Park is Friday, April 12 at 7:05 p.m. and will feature the first of thirteen American Family Insurance Friday Night Firework shows.
