Storm Broadcaster Sean McCall to Broadcast 1000th Regular Season Game Saturday

Lake Elsinore – Lake Elsinore Storm broadcaster Sean McCall, currently in his eighth season as the team's play-by-play announcer, will call his 1000th regular season game for the team on Saturday, May 4.

The Storm won the California League Championship in McCall's first season and has since notched another league title to go along with two Southern Division crowns. As of Wednesday, April 30, McCall has broadcast 997 regular season Storm games on radio.

McCall began working with the Storm in 1996 after four years broadcasting for the Boise Hawks Professional Baseball Team of the Northwest League. He shared play-by-play and baseball analyst duties with the Hawks as well as hosting an hour-long sports talk show during the season. McCall also worked as a television commentator for professional World Team Tennis on Prime Sports Northwest, broadcasted select Boise St. men's and women's college basketball and served as an analyst for men's NAIA Division II National Basketball Championships.

In addition to his broadcasting work as the Storm's radio announcer, McCall also hosts the team's monthly television show "Storm Watch," and has served as the play-by-play announcer for the Storm's televised games over the past two seasons. Those contests have appeared on cable systems such as Cox Communications in San Diego, as well as Adelphia Communications and Comcast cable systems throughout San Diego's North County and Southwest Riverside County.

The Storm will be on the road for McCall's 1000th game, taking on the Lancaster Jethawks at the Hangar in Lancaster. The Storm returns home Monday, May 5 to begin an eight-game homestand.

The Storm won the California League's Southern Division Championship last season, their second division title in as many years as a San Diego Padres affiliate.
