Sioux Falls, SD- The Sioux Falls Storm (8-0) will face the Green Bay Blizzard (4-4) in a week eleven battle on Friday, May 8th, kickoff is at 7:05 pm at the Storm Shelter. The game sponsors are Lewis Stores, KSFY TV, KTWB-FM and Midwest Communications.
The Sioux Falls Storm will be hosting a special night for a brave young girl, who is fighting a tough battle against Brain Cancer. Our organization will be donating $5 for every ticket purchased for our Friday, May 8th game to assist Quinn and her family. In addition, the Storm will organize a Silent Auction consisting of memorabilia from famous pro sports stars and local gifts from area businesses as well as a "Score One for Quinn" Touchdown promo. You can support Feeding South Dakota with our special "Noisemaker Night" promotion thanks to the Lewis Stores. Purchase the Our Family Mac & Cheese Boxes and bring them to the game.
Last week, the Sioux Falls Storm won their eighth game of the season against the Iowa Barnstormers with a 55-24 victory in Des Moines, Iowa. Rolandan Finch II finished the game with 77 yards, five rushing attempts for 63 yard and 14 yards on one reception with a total of three touchdowns. Storm quarterback, Lorenzo Brown threw for 65 yards while completing 6 of 12 of his passes, throwing a total of two touchdowns. Brown also rushed for 54 yards on nine attempts and three touchdowns. James Terry finished the game with 28 yards off of four receptions while collecting one touchdown. Terry also rushed for 10 yards on two attempts. While the Thunder Defense had one sack, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, two interceptions and three pass breakups.
The Blizzard won against the Bemidji Axemen last week, 55-28. Robbie Nallenweg threw ten completions for 46 yards and two interceptions. Donovan Porterie threw for 245 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. James Walker had 24 rushing yards with one touchdown. Markeith had 150 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Kids who wear the April 11th Storm Promo Jersey from Waterbury Heating & Cooling and Coleman Heating & Air Conditioning to the game will receive a Free Box of Popcorn. The kids need to check in while wearing their jersey at the Storm Fan Info Table just inside the main front entrance at the Premier Center before the game starts.
