Sioux Falls Storm News Release
SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm are pleased to announce the signings of running backs Calen Campbell and Harold Cooper Jr. for the 2019 season.
Campbell (5'8, 185) will be entering his rookie season in professional football with the Storm. Calen played his final two seasons of his collegiate career at Lindenwood University where he played at running back, wide receiver and kick returner. Calen earned Honorable Mention All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) honors as a senior.
Cooper (5'7, 195) joins the Storm for his rookie season as a member of the Indoor Football League. Harold played collegiately at University of Rhode Island where he finished his career with 2,168 career rushing yards, which ranks ninth in program history and he finished his career with 4,765 all-purpose yards, which ranks third in program history.
"Two very talented running back's," said Head Coach Kurtiss Riggs. "Calen comes from a system coached by Storm great Dusty Havorka that shows that Calen can run inside, outside and catch the ball. Harold is lightning in a bottle. Harold can play running back and wide receiver and is an instant threat every time he touches the ball."
