Storm Add Eight to Receiving Corps

SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm are pleased to announce the signings of wide receivers Damian Ford, JoJo Gause, Ryan Markush, Tevaris McCormick, Damond Powell, Nate Rogers, Jordan Smith and Julius Wingate to the 2021 roster.

Ford (6'3, 200) returns for his third season with the Storm. Damian totaled 80 receptions for 1,195 yards and 25 touchdowns through the 2018 and 2019 seasons.

Gause (6'3, 220) enter his first season with the Storm. JoJo played collegiately at Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he tallied 110 receptions for 1,611 yards and 22 touchdowns.

Markush (6'1, 195) returns after signing during the 2020 season. Ryan played collegiately at Eastern Kentucky University where he had 55 receptions for 745 yards and nine touchdowns and was a Second Team All-Ohio Valley Conference honoree during his senior season.

McCormick (5'11, 195) enter his first season with the Storm. Tevaris played collegiately at Troy University where he tallied 77 receptions for 877 yards and eight touchdowns. Tevaris also spent time with the Nebraska Danger.

Powell (5'11, 180) returns for his third season with the Storm. Damond totaled 17 receptions for 192 yards and five touchdowns through his first two seasons.

Rogers (6'4, 210) returns after signing during the 2020 season. Nate played collegiately at Wayne State College where he amassed 177 receptions for 2,456 yards and 38 touchdowns. He earned All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) South Division Second Team offensive honors during his senior season.

Smith (6'0, 190) enter his first season with the Storm. Jordan played collegiately at Tennessee Tech where he had 38 receptions for 436 yards and three touchdowns. Jordan spent the 2018-19 seasons with Cedar Rapids of the IFL finishing with 85 receptions for 717 yards and nine touchdowns.

Wingate (6'4, 215) returns after signing during the 2020 season. Julius played at Stony Brook University where he totaled 53 catches for 674 yards and six touchdowns.

"We have an exciting group of experience, youth, size and quickness," said Head Coach Kurtiss Riggs. "We feel this will be an exceptional group to help replace the loss of Sheperd and Shelby who moved on to the CFL."
