Storm Add Depth to Offensive Line

The Sioux Falls Storm of United Indoor Football (UIF) has added offensive lineman Tim Schneider to strengthen the Storm?s offensive front. This will mark Schneider?s first season of professional indoor football.

Schneider comes to the Storm after finishing up a great career at the University of South Dakota (USD). Schneider played left tackle for a USD offense that ranked as one of the best in the nation. The Coyotes finished the regular season as the 9th ranked team in total offense (496.2 ypg), 8th in rushing (263.5 ypg) and 41st in scoring offense (31.4 ppg) in NCAA Division II. Additionally, USD allowed just 16 sacks on the season, which ranked them 35th in the nation. Schneider allowed just two sacks during the season.

Schneider was selected to 2008 Cactus Bowl for his outstanding performances. The Cactus Bowl is played in an East/West format and the teams are comprised entirely of the ?best of the best? NCAA Division II college seniors. Additionally, he was named to the Daktronics All-Northwest Region 2nd Team and the All-North Central Conference (NCC) First Team.

Schneider started all 13 games in 2006 and was named to the All-NCC Second Team. The Coyote rushing offense ranked fourth in Division II as they compiled 253.1 rushing yards per game. The Adams, MN native played in nine games in 2005 for the highest scoring offense in Division II. The Coyotes averaged 49.7 points per game on their way to an NCC Championship. Schneider was a key reserve in 2004 and played in nine games during the season.

The Storm hit the road for one more game as the team travels to Fort Collins, CO to battle the Colorado Ice. The game is set for an 8:30 PM Central kickoff on Friday at the Budweiser Events Center. The Storm will be back home on Saturday, June 14 vs. the Bloomington Extreme. Kickoff is set for 7:05 PM. The game is SOLD-OUT.
