Hicks Named UIF Player of the Week

United Indoor Football (UIF) announced on Wednesday that Storm kicker Adam Hicks has been named UIF Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 13. Hicks converted two-of-three field goals (36 and 35 yards) and also made all five of his extra points to score 11 of the Storm?s 41 points in the team's 41-32 win over Sioux City. Hicks also recorded 1.5 tackles on kickoffs during the ballgame.

This is Hicks' first Player of the Week award since Week 2 of the 2007 season. Hicks is in his 6th season for the Storm and has kicked 128 field goals and 415 extra points in his Storm career. He has scored a team record 799 points in his career. Before joining the Storm for the 2003 season, Hicks spent time in the Sioux City Bandits and Rapid City Red Dogs organization.

Other players recognized this week were RJ Rollins of Omaha as Offensive Player of the Week and Jamal Cooper of RiverCity as Defensive Player of the Week.

This week the Storm will travel to Fort Collins, CO to take on the Colorado Ice on Friday. Kickoff is set for 8:35 PM Central. The game will be broadcast LIVE on KOOL FM 107.9.
