EDMONTON, AB- The Edmonton Stingers and the Fraser Valley Bandits will take on each other at 7:00 P.M. tonight at the EXPO Centre. The 4-2 Stingers sit in second place in the CEBL while the Bandits hold the 5th seed with 3 wins and 2 losses. The Stingers will take to the road for four straight games after tonight.
Three familiar faces are leading the Stingers after 6 games. Former University of Alberta Bear Brody Clarke leads the team in scoring with 12.5 points per game while hitting 48% of his field goal attempts. Uguak and Baker both attended Harry Ainlay High School, coached by current Stingers assistant coach George Hoyt during their high school careers.
The Bandits house a current U of A Golden Bear in Adam Paige, who will be suiting up for the Bandits for first time this year. Paige played in 7 games for the Bandits last year after being drafted 9th overall in the 2021 U Sports CEBL Draft. Paige and the Bears finished third in U Sports during this past season. Geoffrey James, another current Golden Bear, is currently a practice player on the Bandits roster.
