The Edmonton Stingers (5-7) and Vancouver Bandits (5-6) take the floor at the EXPO Centre today at 2:00 p.m. for the second half of their home-and-home series. The Bandits defeated the Stingers 90-80 in Langley on July 1st in the first meeting between the two teams this season.

Both teams have now officially eclipsed the halfway point in the season. The Stingers are fighting for playoff positioning while the Bandits enjoy a bid directly to the semi-finals at Championship Weekend as host team. The Stingers sit 4th in the CEBL's Western Conference, behind the Winnipeg Sea Bears (8-3), Calgary Surge (7-6) and Bandits. The Saskatchewan Rattlers remain half a game behind the Stingers at 4-7.

Outside of the Bandits, the top three teams in the West will get playoff berths and the last place team will be eliminated. The second place team hosts the third in a first-round play-in game. The winner will play the first seed in the West in the quarterfinals; the winner of that contest will then head to Vancouver for Championship Weekend.
