
Stingers End Trip with a Loss

St. Cloud, Minn. - The Stingers end their road trip in a loss to the St. Cloud Rox. The Stingers had a record of 4-5 on this nine-day trip playing in La Crosse, Bismarck, Duluth, and St. Cloud.
Bradley Kinsey (Pittsburg State) made his first start for the Stingers tonight. He went five innings, giving up five hits and allowing two earned runs. Kinsey walked three batters and struck out five.
The scoring started for the Rox in the bottom of the first. They scored two runs off two hits and one error. 2-0 Rox. The Stingers brought in a run in the third when Kevin Saenz (San Jose State) scored off a Sam Baier (Augustana University) fly out. 2-1 Rox.
Juan Cabrera (New Mexico State) took over after Kinsey going two innings in solid relief. Cabrera gave up one hit, struck out two, and did not allow a run. Luke DeGrammont (Concordia-St. Paul) pitched the last inning without allowing a run. The final was 2-1 in favor of the Rox.
