
Sting Opening Night Festivities Set For Friday, May 21st

Charlotte Sting News Release
The Charlotte Sting will tip-off their eighth season vs. the Houston Comets.
Owner Bob Johnson will be in attendance and hold media availability at halftime.
The game is sponsored by BET and will feature:
· Opening Night T-shirts for the first 5,000 fans, compliments of BET.
· A Fan Fest will take place in the parking lot beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Fan Fest will include inflatables, games, food and beverage along with a live remote broadcast by WBAV 101.9
· Special Opening Night introductions of Charlotte Sting players and coaches.
· One fan will have the opportunity win $100,000 as part of the Sting's Summer of Dreams promotion. The lucky contestant will shoot a lay-up for $1,000 and if successful, move on to a free throw for $10,000 and finally a 3-pointer for $100,000.
· Sibyl Lee will perform the national anthem and the Beale Street Flippers will be showcased at halftime.
· A step show featuring local area high schools and churches will take place immediately following the game.
· A limited number of tickets remain.

Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m.
Tip-off slated for 7:00 p.m.
