
Sting Acquire Murray From Minnesota

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Arizona Sting General Manager and Head Coach Bob Hamley announced today that the Sting have acquired defenseman Bruce Murray from the Minnesota Swarm in exchange for defenseman Noah Talbot.
Last season, the 6-foot-1, 235-pound Murray played in all 16 games for the Anaheim Storm. The Coquitlam, British Columbia native recorded 0-4-4 and 34 penalty minutes (PIM) last season. In 55 career National Lacrosse League games over four campaigns, Murray has collected 2-20-22 and 131 PIM.
Murray, 28, was chosen by Minnesota with the fourth overall selection in the NLL's Dispersal Draft last month.
Talbot registered 2-4-6 and 10 PIM in 13 games with the Sting last season. The 6-foot-0, 180-pound forward was acquired by the Sting from the Vancouver Ravens on Dec. 15, 2004.
The Arizona Sting is a professional indoor lacrosse team playing in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). In only their second season in the Valley, the Sting finished the 2005 season with a 9-7 record, winning the Western Division playoffs before losing to the Toronto Rock in the Champion's Cup Final.
