Minnesota Swarm News Release

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Minnesota Swarm general manager Marty O'Neill announced today that the National Lacrosse League (NLL) team has acquired defenseman Noah Talbot from the Arizona String in exchange for defenseman Bruce Murray.

"I am confident that Noah will play a huge role in our 2006 season and bring his championship experience to the Swarm," said O'Neill.

Talbot, 25 (12/24/79), recorded six points (2-4=6) and 65 loose balls in 13 games during his rookie NLL season with Arizona last year. The 6-foot, 180-pound defenseman added a goal and an assist in two playoff games as the Sting advanced to the NLL championship game.

The Vancouver, British Columbia-native was selected by Arizona from Vancouver in the second round (13th overall) of the NLL Dispersal Draft on December 15, 2004. Vancouver originally selected Talbot in the seventh round (82nd overall) of the 2002 NLL Entry Draft.

Minnesota selected Murray with the fourth overall pick in the Anaheim Dispersal Draft on July 20, 2005. He recorded four assists in 16 games with the Storm last year.

The 2005 NLL Entry Draft will be held on Monday, August 29 at 7:00 PM at the Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta, the home arena of the expansion Edmonton Rush. Minnesota owns six picks in this year's draft.
