Rochester Knighthawks News Release
(Rochester, NY)...* Rochester Knighthawks Steve Toll will launch the playoff edition of his "Legit Blog" on Friday, April 30th. The veteran defenseman will post his predictions prior to the National Lacrosse League's division semifinals, division finals and the Champion's Cup Finals.
"I am not happy about not being in the playoffs so I am going to blog about who I think is going to win in the playoffs," said Toll. "I will do my best to give you a player's insight on who will win the National Lacrosse League 2010 championship. I will try my best and we'll see what happens."
The 35 year old will bring his vast lacrosse knowledge to the weekly blogs as he compares each team's offenses, defenses and coaching staffs to select the winner of each series. The NLL Playoffs will begin on Saturday, May 1st with the Eastern and Western Divisional Semifinals. This season the field includes the Orlando Titans, Buffalo Bandits, Boston Blazers and Toronto Rock in the Eastern Division. The Western Division features the Washington Stealth, Calgary Roughnecks, Edmonton Rush and Minnesota Swarm. The division finals are set for the weekend of May 7th to 9th. The season concludes with the crowning of the next NLL Champion on Sunday, May 16th at 2:00 p.m. The league will air the 2010 NLL Championship Game, presented by Reebok, on VERSUS.
Toll just finished his 14th season of professional lacrosse in 2010 and his sixth with the K-Hawks. This season, he led the Knighthawks with 153 loose balls to finish third in the NLL in that category. He holds the league's all-time consecutive games played record with 191. The native of St. Catharines, Ontario, has won five NLL titles, which includes the 2007 championship with Rochester.
