Albany, N.Y., October 27, 2004 – The Albany Conquest of arenafootball2 announced today the hiring of Stephen Leopold as Group Sales Coordinator. Leopold will be responsible for prospecting potential group sales clients and successfully accommodating all groups at each of the Conquest's home games during the 2005 season. He will also be the primary contact for the Albany Conquest Fundraising Program that affords groups the opportunity to incorporate raising money for their organization with an outing to a Conquest game.

Leopold, 22-years old and from Gardiner, NY, received his B.S. in Sports Management from SUNY Cortland in May of 2004 where he also minored in Economics, Management and Computer Applications.

Leopold was Group Sales Intern for the Hudson Valley Renegades (NY-Penn League) from May to August 2003 where he was responsible for accommodations of all group outings, followed up on group sales inquiries from perspective clients, and planned all catered parties for corporate groups. He has acquired additional sales and customer service experience through positions he held with ETC Communications and Annmarico.

During his time at Cortland, he was part of a work-study sports management team that created a strategic management and marketing plan to transition the U.S. Women's Team Handball squad from Lake Placid to a SUNY Cortland campus facility, a project that was successful. He also worked in event management at the SUNY Cortland Athletic Department and was a member of the Sports Management Club.
