
Steeldogs Roster Takes Shape

Birmingham, Ala. - The Alabama Steeldogs announced the majority of the team's training camp roster Thursday.
The af2 has assigned a total of 35 players to the Steeldogs so far for the 2007 season, including 17 players with previous pro experience and 18 rookies.
"We have a great core of Steeldogs veterans retuning from last year in addition to a number of seasoned players coming in from other teams," Head Coach Ron Selesky said. "We also have very talented group of rookies joining the team this season."
Returning players from the Steeldogs' 2006 squad include David Daniel, Deon DeBoise, Robert Kent, Mareno Philyaw, Myron Powe, Theo Sanders and Eric Thomas.
"I think we have a excellent combination of veterans and fresh faces going into camp," Selesky said.
The Steeldogs will hold their final open tryout prior to the 2007 season on February 25th at the SportsBlast Shelby County.
