Trenton Steel News Release

TRENTON, Nj (January 20, 2011) - The Trenton Steel of the Southern Indoor Football League announced the signing of offensive and defensive lineman, Rich Bellina (6'4", 250, Montclair State) to the 2011 roster.

Bellina comes to the Steel after having played for various arena football teams. While with the New Jersey Revolution in 2009 and 2010, the team captain was a vital source of production on offense and defense. Prior to that, Bellina played with the Peoria Pirates, the Amarillo Dusters and the New Jersey Extreme where he racked up impressive stats and started on every special teams unit through four seasons.

While at Montclair State, Bellina started as a tight end for the Red Hawks for two years. He was an all-conference tight end in 2004, a "Team iron man" award recipient in 2003 and 2004 and helped Montclair battle their way to a National playoff berth in 2003.

Head coach, Jeff Hoffman, is very excited about having Bellina be part of his squad. "Rich brings a lot of versatility to the table since he has the ability to play multiply positions. He is an indoor football veteran with obvious leadership skills."

The Trenton Steel will kick off their inaugural season in the SIFL in March 2011 and will play all of their home games at the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, NJ. Tickets packages for the team's premiere season are now available with season tickets available for as low as $60.00.
