BENSENVILLE, IL (December 6, 2008) -- The Chicago Steel boast two of the highest scoring forwards in the United States Hockey League, and on Saturday night at Buccaneer Arena in Des Moines, Andrew Miller (Yale University) and Eric Alexander (Ferris State University) did not disappoint in the Steel's 4-1 victory.

Alexander recorded a natural hat trick; Chicago's second this month, scoring once in each period. Miller assisted on all four Chicago goals in the win. Miller's four assists gave him a USHL best 23 this season, and 36 total points, five ahead of the next highest total in the league.

Alexander's three goals gave him 16 on the year, three ahead of Miller for the most in the league.

Defenseman John Moore also added a pair of assists, padding his lead among defenseman in points with 19 total points. He ranks second among USHL defenseman in assists with 12.

Chicago got on the board first about 8 minutes into the game on Alexander's 14th of the season, with Miller and Moore assisting. Alexander struck again, this time on the power play, late in the second, with the same two teammates assisting on Alexander's 15th goal of the year.

Just under two minutes into the third, Alexander finished off the natural hat trick, and giving Miller his third helper on the night.

Des Moines got on the board with about five minutes remaining in the game on a goal from Brett Bruneteau that spoiled Matt Delaney's shutout bid.

Delaney stopped 21 of 22 Buccaneer shots in earning his third win of the year.

Dean Chelios scored for Chicago a minute and a half later to close out the scoring.
