Steamwheelers Office/Team Shop Closed August 22nd

DAVENPORT, Iowa – The Quad City Steamwheelers announced Thursday that they will close operations on Friday, August 22nd out of respect for Helen Salsi, the mother of Steamwheelers Merchandising Manager Susan Foster. Mrs. Salsi passed away unexpectedly on August 18th in Chicago.

Funeral services for Mrs. Salsi, who is also the mother-in-law to Steamwheelers Managing Owner/Operator Jim Foster, will be held Friday at 11 am at St. John's Lutheran Church in Peru, Ill., where she was born and lived most of her life. She was a loyal Steamwheelers fan, having attended the August 9th playoff game, prior to her death after undergoing surgery at the University of Chicago Hospital on August 14th.

The Steamwheelers will re-open for business on Monday, August 25th at 8:30 am.
