
Steamers Opening Round Schedule is Set

ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Steamers' (22-7) waiting game is over. After clinching the best record in the regular season last week, all St. Louis didn't know is who they were going to play in the Semi-Final round of the MISL Championship Series. But over last weekend, the Chicago Storm (12-16) stepped ahead of the rest and clinched the fourth and final spot in the series with their 4-3 win over the Baltimore Blast.
The Steamers have chosen for the series to begin in Chicago's UIC Pavilion, the home of the Storm on Saturday April 15th beginning at 6:00 p.m. Game two will be taking place the next week on Saturday, April 22nd beginning at 7:05 p.m. at Savvis Center. If the series is tied after the two games, then it will come down to a "golden goal" session immediately following the game. The first team to score will then be the series winner and move on to the MISL Series Championship Finals.
The Steamers will get a good look at the post-season opponent this Saturday when they take on the Storm at Savvis Center at 7:05 p.m. It will be their regular season finale for St. Louis while Chicago will close the next afternoon at home against the Philadelphia KiXX. So far this season, the Steamers lead the season series, 4-1.
The other semi-final round will consist of the Baltimore Blast against the defending MISL Champions, the Milwaukee Wave. Both teams own a record of 17-12 going into the final weekend of the regular season. Milwaukee will be on the, Sunday against the California Cougars. Baltimore will play at Philadelphia Saturday night.
