Stealth's NLL playoff aspirations turn to Saturday as Minnesota takes down Philadelphia
March 29, 2013 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Washington Stealth News Release
EVERETT, Wash. - The Washington Stealth looked to the Philadelphia Wings for some help in its bid to earn a ticket to the NLL post-season on Friday night, but found none as the Minnesota Swarm went on cruise control for a 20-11 win in St. Paul to delay the Stealth's 2013 playoff aspirations for another day. The Stealth at 7-5, were looking for Philadelphia to deal the Swarm a loss tonight or to hand Colorado a defeat tomorrow for a push into the post-season. With the Minnesota win, the Stealth still hanging on to their "Magic Number" one for a third playoff berth in four years, will look for the Wings to rebound against Colorado at 6 p.m. PDT, Saturday in Denver to give it a post-season boost. The game is webcast live on The NLL on YouTube through The Lacrosse Network. Ultimately, the Stealth can punch its own playoff ticket with a win over the 7-5 Calgary Roughnecks, Saturday night at Comcast Arena. Game time is 6:45 p.m. PDT.
