Stealth take on the Talons in final regular season home game

Wichita, KS - The Wichita Stealth's final regular season game is Saturday, July 20th against the Tulsa Talons. The Stealth have already qualified for the playoffs, but have a score to settle with the Tulsa Talons. The two teams met June 1st in a game that turned into a battle very quickly. The Stealth and the Talons fought back and forth in the first half. Wichita went into the locker room at the half ahead one point, 29-28, over the division leading Tulsa Talons. The second half was a totally different story as the Talons shut down the Stealth offense, holding them scoreless for the final two quarters. It was only the second time in team history that the Stealth were held scoreless in a half, and left a lasting memory in the minds of the Stealth. "It was embarrassing to get shut out in the second half. Even though it is more than a month later, we haven't forgotten the beating we took," said head coach Land Jacobsen.
Both the Talons and the Stealth have clinched a playoff spot. Wichita will face the Peoria Pirates on August 3rd in Peoria, Illinois. Tulsa's opponent has yet to be determined as the Bossier City Battle Wings and the Arkansas Twisters are still fighting for the final playoff spot.
The Stealth have a few players that will set team and individual records Saturday night. Willie Grissom needs one receiving yard to reach 2000 in his career, and is three touchdown receptions away from the all time Stealth record. Bryan Henderson has already broken the single season sack record of 11.5, and will look to extend that record by adding to his 16 sacks, which is second best in the league.
Tickets are available by calling any Select-A-Seat outlet, or by calling the Stealth front office at 755-3307. Saturday night's game is ADT Fan Appreciation night. A number of fans will receive an authentic Stealth Jersey, and several fans will have a chance to win a Harley Davidson, courtesy of the Kansas Coliseum. Fans are invited to a free tailgate party beginning at 6:00 p.m. in front of the Kansas Coliseum. There will be live music from Soul Injection, and tons of activities for the kids.
