
Stealth report record numbers

Wichita, Kan. - The Wichita Stealth announced today that season tickets and sponsorship sales are going extremely well. The Stealth ticket drive is up to approximately 900 season tickets, the most in Stealth history, and sponsorship sales are on pace to break franchise records as well.
"This is our most productive off-season yet," said Stealth general manager Mike McCoy. "We have taken full advantage of the added sales staff and they are to be commended for their efforts thus far."
The Stealth have also been very visible in the Wichita community by speaking at D.A.R.E. graduations, participating in the United Way "Taking It to the Streets" campaign, and reading to children at various Wichita schools such as Gardiner Elementary and the Independent School.
The Stealth have also placed a team record eight players in the Arena Football League (AFL) this off-season. "We are extremely pleased that our franchise is able to provide these players a stepping stone to the AFL," said Stealth head coach Sean Ponder. "We will continue to give our players the experience they need in order to maximize their chances of getting to the next level."
The Stealth expect big things on the field this season as well, they have been assigned fourteen new players for the upcoming season and combined with the returning players from last season, the Stealth are poised for a third consecutive trip to the arenafootball2 playoffs and a shot at the 2004 ArenaCup championship.
The Stealth have been placed in the National Conference-Southeast Division for the 2004 season with defending af2 champions, the Tulsa Talons, and three expansion franchises, the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz, the Laredo Law, and the Rio Grande Valley Dorados. The league schedule will be released in the near future. The Stealth will play sixteen regular season games in 2004, eight at home and eight away.
STEALTH NOTES: Season tickets are available by calling the Stealth ticket sales representatives at 316.755.3307. Fans can secure the same great seats for all eight home games during the 2004 season for as little as $80. The Stealth will kickoff their fourth season in early April at the Kansas Coliseum...SUPER BOWL PARTY: The Stealth will be attending a Super Bowl party at Oscars Sports Bar in the downtown Warren Theater (353 N. Mead) on Sunday February 1st beginning at 4:30 p.m. Team officials, players, and dance team members will be on hand to watch the game and talk football with all attending fans. This will be a great opportunity to get your season tickets and enjoy the Super Bowl with the Stealth.
