
Stealth Fall in Mile High City

Vancouver, BC (Saturday, January 24, 2015) - The Vancouver Stealth (1-3) dropped their first road game of the season, falling 20-9 to the Colorado Mammoth (3-0) at the Pepsi Centre in Denver, Colorado on Saturday night.
Corey Small scored four points (2g, 2a) in his Stealth debut and Joel McCready netted three goals and an assist in a losing cause.
Adam Jones led the Mammoth with a career-high ten points (4g, 6a), Drew Westervelt scored eight points (3g, 5a) and John Grant Jr was in on seven (2g, 5a) of the team's twenty goals.
The Stealth got off to an excellent start, leading 3-1 in the first quarter thanks to two goals from Small and the other by Tyler Digby. Colorado would score the final two goals of the quarter to tie things up at three.
McCready would give Vancouver a 4-3 lead to start the second quarter scoring on the power play, putting one past goaltender Dillon Ward. From there on it was all Colorado. They would score the next six goals and head into the locker room with a 9-5 halftime lead.
The Mammoth would continue their hot streak in the third quarter outscoring the Stealth 6-1 and led 12-6 heading into the final frame. Lewis Ratcliff scored the lone goal, his sixth of the season. Digby, McCready and Rhys Duch with his team leading 25th point scored in the fourth quarter for the Stealth who fell to 1-3 and move to third place in the West Division.
Tyler Richards stopped 24 of 38 shots and was replaced by Eric Penney who came into game late in the third quarter and made 12 saves in relief.
Vancouver won't have to wait long for their chance at revenge as the two teams meet again in a week. Face-off is at 7:00PM PST at the Langley Events Centre. The first fifteen-hundred fans receive a Stealth Team Poster.
