It was something I thought about during the last few years of my playing career and I'm glad the Yankees have given me the chance to manage, especially in Staten Island. I have heard nothing but great things about the organization, the fans and the ballpark. I'm really looking forward to it."

Josh Paul will be reunited with former minor league teammate Pat Daneker. When asked about working with Daneker again Paul had this to say:

"Pat and I played a lot of years together coming up with the White Sox. We worked well together and had a lot of fun on the field and we will do the same now. When it's time for business, we believe we are going to do well together. I'm looking forward to a great season."
