-SPIKES PLAY HOME FINALE TONIGHT: The Spikes finish their home slate at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park tonight with the second game of their two-game series against the Auburn Doubledays. The Spikes have split the four games they have played at home against Auburn. With last night's win, the Spikes have the chance to even up the all-time series against the Doubledays at home, which is currently led by Auburn, 8-7.

-LAST NIGHT: Quincy Latimore scored on an eighth-inning wild pitch to break a tie and lead the Spikes to the win, 5-4. Auburn had taken a 4-1 lead in the fourth inning, but the Spikes came back with single runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to tie the game. Matt Payne collected three hits in the game for State College. The two teams combined for 22 hits in the game, all of them singles. Right-hander Alan Knotts collected his third victory of the season, pitching the last two innings for the win.

-TONIGHT'S SPIKES STARTER: Right-hander Wilson Ortiz gets the ball for State College. Ortiz makes his 15th appearance and seventh start of the year. All but three of Ortiz's appearances for State College this year have been between three and four innings. In his last start, Ortiz faced Auburn at Falcon Park, and allowed a run on four hits and three walks over four innings while striking out two. Ortiz's ERA is over a full point better at home than on the road.

-TONIGHT'S DOUBLEDAYS STARTER: Joel Carreno makes his second start against the Spikes in a week's span tonight. The right-hander allowed a run on seven hits and a walk while striking out four in four innings. Carreno drew a no-decision. Tonight marks Carreno's 13th start and 15th appearance of the year. Carreno is third in the league in strikeouts with 79.

-SPIKES AWARDS PRESENTED TONIGHT: The Spikes Player and Pitcher of the Year awards will be presented pre-game by General Manager Rick Janac and Manager Brad Fischer.

-SPIKES SET ATTENDANCE RECORD: The Spikes will set a total attendance record for a single season with the crowd tonight at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
