Huntsville Stars News Release

Chattanooga, TN – After four consecutive Huntsville hits, the Stars and Lookouts were washed out on Thursday night. Huntsville leads 1-0 with runners at first and third and none out. Corey Hart is batting with a 1-2 count. Play resumes on Friday at Bell South Park. Game time is 5:00 p.m. CT. Following the conclusion of the suspended contest, a seven-inning game concludes the second doubleheader between Huntsville and Chattanooga this season.

Huntsville's Ryan Knox led off the game by ripping Josh Hall's second pitch deep to left-center for a triple, his third of the season. Dave Krynzel promptly smacked a 3-1 offering into the right-centerfield alley for a run-scoring double. J.J. Hardy followed with a line-drive single to left, advancing Krynzel to third. After the count reached 1-2 to Corey Hart, a downpour ensued. More than an hour of hard rain left the field under water, and play was suspended at 7:25 p.m. ET.

In Friday's doubleheader, Pedro Liriano (5-7, 2.66) pitches the first game, with Derek Lee (9-3, 3.51) throwing the second. Chattanooga counters with Ryan Mottl (). The Lookouts' other starter has not been announced. The Bill Penney Toyota Pre-game Show starts at 4:45 p.m. CT, with the first pitch at 5:00 p.m. CT. Stars baseball can be heard on Jammin' 1550 WLOR, ESPN 1450 WTKI and at www.huntsvillestars.com.
