Stars Finish Pre-Season 3-0

Kansas City, MO. Sunday night's game, at Avila University, against Livin'-The-Dream exhibition basketball team, wrapped up an undefeated pre-season for the ABA KC Stars. They finished their inaugural pre-season with a 119-83 victory over Livin'-The-Dream. The game was the first real test for the young Stars. Livin'-The-Dream featured former UMKC standout Michael Watson and Kelvin Parker (NW Missouri State). The Stars' attack was led by Raphael Posey's (University of Texas-San Antonio) 19 points. Stars' Power forward Nick Burton (Park University) provided points in all four quarters totaling 18 points. Michael Watson gave Livin'-The-Dream a boost with a game high 23 points.

The first half ended with a 46-44 lead for the Stars. Head Coach Rodney Perry motivated his Stars team to outscore their opponent 73-39 in the second half. the Stars have held all of their pre-season opponents under 100 points with solid defense and strong contributions from bench players. Five players cored in double figures for the Stars. The Stars plan to take this positive energy into their first regular season game vs the St. Louis Stunners this Friday, November 27th at 7pm on the CTU Kansas City floor in Municipal Auditorium.
