Regional Marketing Job Openings
November 24, 2009 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that it is seeking Regional Marketing Managers to work at the league level. "Our teams are doing a great marketing job," said Joe Newman, ABA CEO, "but we feel that having some league level professionals working with the various divisions and teams would be beneficial to the league and the teams. We know that there are many great salespeople out there with a love of sports who would like an opportunity to help market sponsorships, tickets, ABA and team merchandise and media."
The ABA has eight division including Northeast, Southeast, North Central, South Central, Southwest, Southern California, Northern California and Pacific Northwest. "With 54 teams this season and another twenty plus set to play next season, there are some tremendous opportunities for the right people to have a fun job and to make a lot of money too," stated Newman.
"I've had this idea for a long time and have been waiting for the right time to do it," added Newman. "Recently, a very professional and experienced marketer in Southern California approached me and asked if I would be interested. I definitely was. The teams really do need the help. We have so many great things to sell. What we're looking for are people with sales experience and a love of sports - and it can even be done part time. For more information, visit www.abalive.com.
