Stars Fall To Generals

A night after starting the second half of their season off with a win, the Huntsville Stars lost to the Jackson Generals by a score of 7-4 on Friday night at Pringles Park. The game was all tied up at 4-4 in the sixth inning until Jackson designated hitter Joe Dunigan crushed a 2-run homerun off of Stars reliever Santo Manzanillo for the eventual game-winning blow for the Generals. With the loss, Manzanillo fell to 0-4 on the year. Stars starting pitcher Evan Anundsen returned from the disabled list with a no decision, giving up four runs and eleven hits through 5.0 innings. On offense, the Stars got three hits from designated hitter Scott Krieger and two hits apiece from catcher Anderson De La Rosa and first baseman Hunter Morris.

On Saturday, the Stars will send RHP Kyle Heckathorn (2-6, 4.24 ERA) to the mound to square off against LHP Anthony Fernandez (Double-A debut) for game three of a five-game series. First pitch is at 6:05 PM.
