Calgary Stampeders News Release
The Calgary Stampeders have signed free-agent running back Demetris Summers, defensive end Juwan Simpson and receiver Eddie Montgomery. All three players are imports.
Simpson is a product of University of Alabama who went to training camp with the Green Bay Packers in 2007.
"Juwan has the size and athleticism to be utilized at linebacker or defensive end," said Stamps head coach/general manager John Hufnagel. "When we had our free-agent camp in Florida, we worked him out at both and he looked good at both. But when he comes to camp, he'll play end."
Demetris Summers played college ball at South Carolina and went to training camp with the Dallas Cowboys In 2006. Montgomery attended St. Augustine's College and has no pro experience.
