
Stamps serve Slices for Smiles

Calgary Stampeders defensive lineman Mike Labinjo and punter Burke Dales will help launch Pizza 73's Slices for Smiles campaign on Tuesday, Apr. 28. The players will serve nine-inch pizzas at a discount at the Pizza 73 location on 3745 Memorial Dr. S.E. from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Fifty cents from each pizza will be donated to the Children's Miracle Network.

When: Tuesday, Apr. 28, 2009 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: Pizza 73 - 3745 Memorial Dr. S.E.
"This should be a fun event for a great cause," said Labinjo. "I'm actually quite the chef so I hope people come out and try some of these pies. Anytime we can have a bit of fun and ultimately help a worthy cause, I'm there."
The Slices for Smiles week-long fundraiser started Monday, Apr. 27 and continues until Sunday, May 3 in an effort to raise funds for member hospitals in the Children's Miracle Network, which includes the Alberta Children's Hospital. The goal is to raise more than $100,000 to help enhance the lives of children across Canada.
