Calgary Stampeders News Release

Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel today announced that import linebacker Tim Johnson has been released.

"We thank Tim for his efforts last season and wish him the best for the future," said Hufnagel. "Tim's family situation is such that he believed he could not make the commitment needed to return to the Canadian Football League for the 2010 season."

Johnson signed with Calgary on Aug. 22, 2009 and started in the Stamps' final 11 regular-season contests and both playoff games.
