
Stampede's Muto Commits to Niagara University

Sioux Falls, SD-The Sioux Falls Stampede announced today that defenseman Vinny Muto has committed to Niagara University for the 2013-14 season. He becomes 16th Stampede player to commit to a Division I program this season.
Muto was acquired in a trade with Lincoln on October 26th and has appeared in 20 games with the Stampede, posting 3 goals and 5 assists and a +13 rating. His plus/minus rating is tied for the best overall on the team.
A native of Niagara Falls, NY, Muto spent last season playing in the BCHL in Canada where he recorded 19 points (6g, 13a) in 57 games.
Niagara University, located in Niagara, NY, has an enrollment of 3,548 and are members of the Atlantic Hockey Conference.
They Purple Eagles are currently in first place in Atlantic Hockey with a 9-0-1 conference record and a 10-3-4 record overall. They are ranked 18th nationally in the USCHO.com Division I Men's Poll. Former Stampede forward Patrick Divjak is a junior at Niagara.
Muto and the Stampede host Sioux City this tonight and tomorrow at the Sioux Falls Arena at 7:05 PM. Tomorrow, the first 500 fans will receive a sleeve of golf balls, courtesy of Golf Addiction.
