Stampede Travels to Fargo

February 28, 2024 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Sioux Falls Stampede News Release

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Sioux Falls Stampede is set to travel to Fargo, N.D. to take on the Fargo Force for two games. Friday's game will start at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday's at 6:05 p.m. from Scheels Arena. Both games are available on FloHockey and KELO Radio.

The Stampede and Force have met six times this season with the Force holding strong to the win column in each game. Most recently, the two teams met for a series of three games on Feb. 2nd,3rd and 9th. In the final game of this series, the Force marked a 12-4 victory on their home ice.

Fargo currently sits in first place in both the USHL Western Conference and the USHL as a whole. Having already clinched a spot in the Clark Cup Playoffs, the Force is 18 points away from claiming at least a share of the Anderson Cup title. The team holds a record of 39-5-2-0 with 80 points, 20 above second place Sioux City Musketeers.

The Herd looks to halt its eight-game losing streak this weekend. Last weekend, the team was able to earn one point against the Waterloo Black Hawks by forcing their Friday-night game into overtime, but ultimately falling to the Black Hawks 2-1. The team has not been able to clinch a win since an overtime victory against the Tri-City Storm on Jan. 30 at the PREMIER Center.

Following this weekend's trip Herd will to Middleton, Wisc. to be hosted by the Madison Capitols on Mar. 8 and 9, Sioux City, Iowa on Mar. 13 to play the Sioux City Musketeers, Omaha, Neb. on Mar. 15 against the Omaha Lancers, then finally back to the PREMIER Center on Mar. 17 against the Lancers for Stomp's Birthday Bash. The Herd has just three home games remaining and tickets for these games are available through the Stampede office, KELOLAND box office, or through Ticketmaster.
