Stampede "Take My Jersey Night" This Wednesday Vs. Lincoln

The Sioux Falls Stampede continue their stretch of six games in nine days this Wednesday when they host the Lincoln Stars at 7:05 PM at the Sioux Falls Arena in their final regular season home game.

It is also Sioux Falls Ford and Saturn of Sioux Falls "Take My Jersey Night." Fans attending the game can purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a Stampede authentic, game-worn jersey! Tickets are priced at $5.00 each or three (3) for $10.00. "22" game-worn jersey's will be given away by the players immediately following the game.

All proceeds from the jersey raffle will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Stampede "Foundation For Kids." In addition, every fan in attendance will receive a free Stampede Team Poster, also compliments of Sioux Falls Ford and Saturn of Sioux Falls.

The Stampede need just one point or a Sioux City loss on Wednesday to clinch second place and home-ice advantage for the first round of the Clark Cup Playoffs which begin next week.

The Stampede will close out the regular season part of their schedule later in the week with road games Friday and Saturday against Des Moines and Tri-City. Game times are 7:05 PM each night.

The Stampede are 4-2-0 against Lincoln, 5-0-1 versus Des Moines and 3-1-2 against Tri-City entering the week.

B2 NETWORKS VIEWING PARTY

This Saturday is the final B2 Networks Viewing Party at Buffalo Wild Wings (located adjacent to the Sioux Falls Arena)!

Watch the Stampede in their final regular season contest at Tri-City in Kearney, NE on all the TV Big Screens starting at 7 PM.

In addition, fans can enjoy food specials and a chance to win Stampede prizes! Please arrive early as seating is limited and no reservations will be taken.

The Stampede can clinch second place and home-ice advantage in the first round of the Clark Cup Playoffs by obtaining one point in any of their last three games. They can also clinch with any Sioux City regulation or shootout loss in their remaining three games.

The playoffs can start as early as next Tuesday, April 8th. The Stampede's playoff schedule will be released once their first round opponent is known.

The Stampede's franchise record nine-game road winning streak was snapped Friday in Waterloo. The streak is the longest in the USHL this season.

Regardless of how the Stampede fair this week, the Stampede will finish the year with a winning record against every West Division opponent this season. The Herd are 21-8-4 against the West this year.

The Herd are 27-4-2 when scoring the first goal of the game and 5-15-4 when opponents score first.

With three games remaining in the regular season, forward Jack Connolly has 69 points and a two-point lead in the USHL scoring race. He has 15 points in his last 10 games.

His 70 points is the single highest point total by a Stampede player since the 2001-02 season when Thomas Vanek tallied a franchise record 91 points. Connolly ranks third all-time, trailing only Vanek and Mike Doyle who posted 78 points during the 2000-01 season.

Jake Hansen ranks third in the league in goals scored with 31.

Eric Hartzell is 5-1-0 with a 2.16 GAA and a .935 save percentage in his last six starts.

FROZEN FOUR TO FEATURE EIGHT

FORMER STAMPEDE PLAYERS

Eight former Stampede players helped their respective teams advance to the 2008 NCAA Men's Frozen Four Tournament next weekend in Denver, CO. Three of the four teams will feature former Stampede players.

Boston College, Michigan, North Dakota and Notre Dame all advanced to Denver. The semi-finals will take place on Thursday, April 10th.

Boston College will face North Dakota in the first semi-final at 5 PM (Central) while Notre Dame and Michigan will square off at 8 PM (Central). Both games will be televised on ESPN2 with the Championship game live on ESPN at 6 PM on April 12th.
