Stampede Home Season Comes to a Close on Saturday

HARRISBURG, PA (Jun 17, 2014) - The 2014 Stampede home season will come to a bitter-sweet end on Saturday, June 21st at PinnacleHealth Field at Giant Center as the Herd will host the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks. This is the third meeting of the National Division teams and has been unofficially dubbed the "Keystone Classic".
While the Stampede has been knocked out of the playoff picture, the Herd will look to play "spoiler" as the Steelhawks need a win on Saturday in order to continue onto the post season.
The Herd will close out its inaugural season in the Giant Center and PIFL with a bang and celebrate its fans during the final home game. "This season has been a great step forward", says Stampede President and General Manager, Marques Colston. "On and off the field, we have seen significant growth and on behalf of the organization, I want to thank our fans for making our first season at Giant Center a memorable one."
This Saturday is Fan Appreciation Day with a special focus on the Central PA Food Bank. Fans are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items to benefit the summer feeding programs of the CPFB.
Fan Appreciation Day will kick off with a pre-game autograph signing with Super Bowl Champion and Penn State Alumni Jordan Hill! All ticket-holding fans are invited to meet Jordan during the free one-hour autograph signing, which begins at 5:30pm at Giant Center. Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to benefit the Central PA Food Bank. Doors for SEASON TICKET HOLDERS open at 5:30pm and doors for all other fans will open at 5:45pm.
In addition, in recognition of Fan Appreciation Day, all fans will receive a $5 merchandise gift card! The first 500 fans will receive a complimentary insulated lunch bag, courtesy of Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency and one lucky fan will have the opportunity to win a 2014 Ford F-150, courtesy of Maguire's Ford!
To show appreciation to our young fans, the first 200 children will receive a complimentary Stampede goodie bag! Several activities will be available in the concourse for kids of all ages.
Stampede players, coaches and the Crush Dance Team will hold one final autograph signing on the field, and all fans are welcome!
