Stampede Express unveil 2008 schedule

San Angelo Stampede Express News Release


The Stampede Express is pleased to announce the much anticipated schedule for the 2008 season. Make sure you set your dates now as the Stampede Express season will begin in March this year. The Intense Football League is now a 9-team league with 1 new expansion team in Fairbanks, Alaska. The Stampede Express will play a 14 game schedule consisting of 7 home and 7 away games.

The team will kick off their season with one road game March 1st in Frisco Texas. Stampede Express will host the 2007 league champs the Louisiana Swashbuclkers for their home opener March 8th at the San Angelo Coliseum at 7:05. The Stampede Express will then hit the road for two away games against Corpus Christi March 15th and the Centex Barracudas March 29th and 3 bye weeks. The team will begin play again on April 19th as they host the Corpus Christi Hammerheads. Then the Stampede Express will lace up their snow boots and head to Alaska for 9 days as they play Anchorage on the 28th of April and Fairbanks May 3rd. Monday May 12th the team will play in Katy and on May 17th the Express will return home to host Frisco again. After a bye week the week of the 24th we will travel to our arch rival the Odessa Roughnecks on May 31st.

The stretch run will be exciting as the final 4 games of the season will be in San Angelo. The home stretch will begin June 7th against the Roughnecks. The following weekend June 14th the Stampede will face-off against Fairbanks. June 21st Katy will pay a visit to San Angelo and the 28th of June Frisco will come to the Concho Valley for the second time The Stampede Express will begin their 5th season on March 8, 2007 against Louisiana, with 7 action packed games at the San Angelo Coliseum.
