Saugerties Stallions News Release

ALBANY, NY - The Saugerties Stallions continue to struggle as they fall to 0-4 on the season courtesy of some late-game heroics in the 7-6 10-inning loss.

Saugerties DH TJ Adams led off the game with a single and later came around to score on a sacrifice fly courtesy of catcher Cody Kelly. With the bases loaded and two outs in the sixth, Dutchmen reliever Devin Campbell was able to pitch himself out of the jam allowing just the one run.

The Albany lineup went quiet until the eighth inning where catcher Riley Montayne smacked a double down the left field line and would later come around to score thanks to an RBI single off the bat of third baseman Danny Rogers.

First baseman Matt Bergevin would one-up his fellow corner infielder with a home run deep into the New York night giving the Dutchmen a two-run lead.

The Stallions would answer back in the top half on the ninth via a two-run RBI double off the bat of Stallion third baseman Brandon Fish.

The night would finally come to an end in the bottom of the tenth where Danny Rodgers would again come in clutch smacking a towering fly ball over the right field fence capping off a seven-run 10-hit night for the Dutchmen.

The Stallions will look to Glens Falls for their first win of the year as the Dragons will visit Cantine Field on Thursday for a 7:05 game.
