Houston Stallions News Release
Katy, TX - The Houston Stallions continued their dominance over SIFL opponents Sunday at the Merrell Center downing the Abilene Rough Riders 56-24 in front of 2500 vocal fans. The win not only keeps the Stallions perfect on the season but also clinches the Southwest Division title.
"It was a big win in front of a very good crowd but our goal is not to win a division title, but win a league championship", said Stallions Head Coach Gerald Dockery. "Southwest Division Champs is just a step towards our ultimate goal".
In addition to winning on the field, the Stallions also helped Christus St. Catherine Hospital of Katy's Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation win off the field. The team wore special jerseys during the game that were auctioned off and raised over $2000 for the foundation. "We are proud to be able to help out with such a valuable cause and we look forward to doing many more of these types of events in the future". Said team owner Joe Kramer.

The Swashbucklers come into the game with a 7-1 mark on the season and will be the biggest test to date for the Stallions. "They are a very good team and we will have to play a solid 60 minute game to come away with a win", said Dockery. The Stallions will be celebrating Military Night during the game, once again wearing tribute jerseys, which will be auctioned off after the game and proceeds going to The Warrior Benefit Foundation. The game is being sponsored by Kramer Environmental Services. Kick off is set 6:05pm with doors opening at 5:05pm.
