Houston Stallions News Release

Houston, Texas - Houston native and retired NFL star Aaron Glenn announced his resignation as the General Manager of the Houston Stallions Indoor arena football team on Wednesday. Glenn was introduced to the Houston Stallions organization earlier this year after accepting an opportunity to oversee the team operations. While under Glenn's command the Stallions achieved an undefeated record in the Lone Star Football League winning 7 of its 7 games over an 8-week period. Four of the regular season games were held at the Merrell Center in Katy, Texas K where Glenn and his team increased ticket sales by 48% over the previous season.

"This experience opened my eyes to a new kind of football," explained Glenn. "Arena football is an exciting experience for fans, it's a great value for families and the players really play their hearts out for the love of the game. I enjoyed interacting with the players and I have a passion for what they do. However, from a business stand point, I don't feel that the organization is a good fit for me right now," said Glenn.

Glenn has accepted a position with the New York Jets and says he looks forward to the opportunity to work with the team that drafted him to the NFL in 1994. "The New York Jets obviously have a special place in my history of playing pro football "" They were the first NFL team to take a chance on me and I look forward to working with this organization again," concluded Glenn.

Aaron Glenn played 15 years in the NFL with the New York Jets, Houston Texans, Dallas Cowboys, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New Orleans Saints. At the collegiate level Aaron Glenn was named Southwest Conference Newcomer of the Year and he achieved First-Team All American with Texas A&M University, prior to going to the New York Jets in the first round of the 1994 NFL Draft.
