HAMMERHEADS 44 MAGIC 36

CORPUS CHRISTI, Tex. - Jason Lee's 33-yard interception return with 2:51 helped Corpus Christi seal the victory over the Magic.

RGV closed a 30-20 game to 36-30 on Leo Araguz' third field goal with 7:40 play and had the ball, but Lee's pick six gave the Hammerheads a two-score cushion.

Anthony Andre threw four touchdown passes for the Hammerheads, while Gary Cooper threw three for the Magic.

STALLIONS 56 RUFF RIDERS 24

HOUSTON - Robert Kent threw for 244 yards and seven touchdowns as the Stallions outscored the Ruff Riders 27-8 in the third quarter and kept Abilene scoreless the final 15 minutes to remain unbeaten.

Damion Clark caught six passes for 109 yards and three touchdowns, while Timon Marshall scored three times in his four catches.

Ty Forte threw two touchdowns and ran for another for Abilene.

LIONS 81 FORCE 32

COLUMBUS, Ga. - Chris McCoy threw five touchdown passes and Guesly Dervil scored twice on defense as the Lions scored 35 unanswered points in the first half to pull away to a victory over Fayetteville.

Gerald Gales had eight catches for 109 yards and three scorers as Columbus won its fifth straight. Dervil scored on a 36-yard interception return and a 30-yard fumble recovery. Trey Crum was 9-10 on PATs and registered four UNOs.

Lamar Little threw for 164 yards and a touchdown for Fayetteville, which lost its fifth straight.

EXPLOSION 65 RAIDERS 50

RICHMOND, Va. - Adam DiMichele threw five of his seven touchdown passes to Kevin Concepcion as Erie picked up a big road win.

Erie led 39-17 early in the third quarter but Richmond got within 39-31 on Brandon Isaiah 9-yard run with three minutes remaining in the third.

Herb Jones (9-114-3) and Damon Thompson (10-109-2) were both over the 100-yard receiving mark for Richmond.

STEEL 78 STAMPEDE 36

TRENTON, N.J. - E.J. Nemeth threw eight touchdown passes and rushed for two more as the Steel outscored Harrisburg 28-0 in the final quarter.

Oderick Turner (7-89) and Damon Harrison (5-51) each caught three TD in a game that saw the teams combine for 50 first quarter points.

Collis Martin had two TD catches for Harrisburg, who gave up five turnovers and seven sacks.

HAMMERS 52 SPEED 44

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- Bill Ashburn threw seven touchdown passes - three apiece going to Maurice Dupree and Mico McSwain - as the Hammers closed out a victory over Carolina.

Ashburn completed 22 of 39 passes for 282 yards and two interceptions to go along with the seven touchdowns. Carolina dropped to 1-6 with Antonio Miller throwing for 240 yards and five scores, but he was picked off three times - twice by Hammers defensive back Demetrius Derico in his season debut.

McSwain led Alabama with 11 receptions for 145 yards and Charles McClain had seven with a touchdown. Cooter Arnold paced the Speed with 11 catches for 127 yards and two touchdowns.
