Saugerties Stallions News Release

Saugerties, N.Y.- The Glens Falls Dragons (8-18) snapped an eight-game losing streak squeaking past the Saugerties Stallions (15-12), 2-1 at Cantine Field on Friday night.

Lane Miller (Indiana State) allowed just one base runner through the first three innings, while MacGuire O'Sullivan (Assumption College) allowed four hits and no runs scored in that same time frame.

The Stallions scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the third. Dillion Lifrieri (Arkansas) hit a single, to bring in Fritz Genther (Virginia Tech) after he reached on an overthrow to the first baseman.

After their first run was scored early on in the game, the Stallions could not seem to get the bats rolling to have another run cross home plate.

The Dragons came back in the top of the 7th and put two runs on the board. They drew back-to-back bases-loaded walks to take the lead, with Joseph Impeduglia (Concordia) and Hunter Tabb (LSU Eunice) scoring.

Glens Falls Brandt Sundean (FGCU) and Conrad Holbrook (Keystone) combined for four shut-out innings to close the game.

Sundean came out with the win, while Lane Miller took the loose.

The Stallions lead the season series 4-2, and they are back in action tomorrow night at Cantine Field at 7 o'clock against the Amsterdam Mohawks.
