The Saugerties Stallions (6-10) didn't have a chance on Wednesday, as the Amsterdam Mohawks (11-6) won in blowout fashion, 7-0 at Cantine Memorial Veterans Field.
A three-run home run by Dan Maynard helped the Amsterdam Mohawks score three runs in the fourth. The Amsterdam Mohawks had three hits in the inning.
Maynard racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Amsterdam Mohawks.
The Saugerties Stallions had no answer for Cameron Enck , who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Saugerties Stallions managed just two hits off of Enck, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out one during his five innings of work.
Benjamin Contento ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked five, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
