
St. Paul becomes Renegades apostle

OTTAWA â The Ottawa Renegades are pleased to announce the signing of import wide receiver Francis St. Paul to a one-year contract with a club option for the 2005 season.
The Los Angeles native, who turns 25 later this month, comes to Ottawa with experience in the National Football League.
Drafted in the sixth round (197th overall) by the St. Louis Rams in 2001, St. Paul attended training camp with the Rams in 2002 and caught a touchdown pass from quarterback Mark Bulger during a pre-season game against the San Diego Charger.
St. Paul has also spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Carolina Panthers.
The 5-foot-9, 190-pound St. Paul played four seasons of football at Northern Arizona University and ranked second on the school's list in career touchdowns (24) and ranked among the top five in school history in receiving yards (2,137) and receptions (144).
Known for his excellent speed, St. Paul also competed in track for Northern Arizona and won the Big Sky Conference championship in 2000 in the 100-metre dash with a time of 10.48 seconds.
