St. Louis Battlehawks News Release
ARLINGTON, TEXAS - Former St. Louis Battlehawks long-snapper Alex Matheson has been signed to the practice squad of the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League.
In 2023, Matheson appeared on special teams in all 10 games for the Battlehawks and his snap started the action on a 64-yard fake punt that resulted in a touchdown pass against Vegas in Week 8. That play was voted by fans as the XFL Play of the Year.
The St. Louis Battlehawks will retain Matheson's rights should he return to the XFL.
