St. Louis Ambush News Release
St. Charles, Missouri - The St. Louis Ambush and Milwaukee Wave square off twice this weekend in crucial games that have playoff implications for both teams.
On Friday night, March 18, the Ambush host the Wave in a 7:35 p.m. CDT affair at The Family Arena in St. Charles. Action then shifts to the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena for a 1:05 p.m. CDT match on Sunday, March 20.
Entering the weekend, the Ambush are holding the eighth of eight playoff berths and Milwaukee is only four points behind them in the ninth spot. The Ambush and Wave have met three times thus far this season, with the Ambush holding a 2-1 advantage in those games. The previous duels were hard-fought on both sides and each of those three games was decided by a single goal. Two of the previous games were on the Ambush home turf and one was in Milwaukee, with each team winning at home. This weekend's action will decide the season series between the two clubs and may very well determine who punches their ticket to the postseason and who will be going home when the regular season concludes in April.
Following Sunday's battle in Milwaukee, the Ambush have three regular season games remaining, all against the Kansas City Comets, who have already clinched a playoff spot and are likely to win the Central Division crown. On Saturday, March 26, the Ambush and Comets will butt heads at the Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence. On Saturday, April 2, the two teams go at it again at The Family Arena in the regular season home finale for the Ambush. The regular season concludes for both teams when they meet at Cable Dahmer Sunday April 3.
Tickets for both remaining Ambush home games are available at The Family Arena box office and at ticketmaster.com. Fans can stay current on all Ambush news by visiting the team's official website, stlambush.com and on social media outlets.
