St. Joseph Blacksnakes News Release
(St. Joseph, MO) - The St. Joseph Professional Baseball Club will announce its official team name and release its logo at a press conference Friday, February 10 at 10 a.m. to be held on the first floor of City Hall. The team's 2006 game caps and uniforms will also be revealed at the event.
St. Joseph is a member of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball. They will begin play in May 2006 at Phil Welch Stadium when professional baseball returns to the town after a 52-year absence.
The ballclub held a "name the team" contest through the St. Joseph News Press. The winning name will be revealed Friday.
