FirstEnergy Stadium - "Spring Training Buzz", a special behind the scenes feature on spring training with Buzz Hannahan is now online at readingphillies.com.

Hannahan will post a weekly journal style entry from Clearwater, FL through the end of spring training. In his first entry which he titled The First Day of School, he takes readers through the anticipation leading up to spring training right through the very first day, comparing it to going back to school.

Hannahan played for the Reading Phillies in 2002 and is entering his sixth season in the Phillies Minor League System. A 31st round pick in the Phillies highly touted 1998 draft, Hannahan primarily played 2B for Reading last year. He also saw time at 3B, SS and in LF where he recorded three assists in nine games. A native of Minnesota, Hannahan hit .230 in 84 games with 47 runs scored, 7 2B, 2 3B, 3 HR, 23 RBI and 14 SB.

He shared the Eugene L. Shirk Award, named for the former Mayor of Reading and given for outstanding community service, with teammates Uriel Casillas and Nate Espy.

REMINDER: R-PHILS, BASEBALLTOWN CHARITIES PRESS CONFERENCE THURSDAY

FirstEnergy Stadium - The Reading Phillies will make a donation to Reading's Downtown Improvement District (D.I.D.) and Baseballtown Charities will make a contribution to the Olivet Boys' and Girls' Club at a press conference on Thursday, March 6, at 11:30 AM. The event will take place in the RBI Room at FirstEnergy Stadium and will be followed by lunch.

TICKETS AVAILABLE

Tickets for individual games, mini-plans, season tickets and picnic packages are on sale for the 2003 season which begins Thursday, April 3 vs. Altoona at 7:05 PM.
